The marquise diamond rests within a fine bezel of yellow gold whose closed contour traces the cut almond, lid to lid, in a line as quiet as breath. There is no halo, no accompaniment, only the cut itself, held and presented. Suspended from a polished bail, the pendant carries the form to which the entire collection returns: the watchful almond, the sovereign eye that recognizes before it is recognized. To wear it is to carry a fixed point of light, a small constant in motion against the skin.
